History of this temple is related to Pandavaas. It is believed that when the pandavaas were i search of Shiva to come over their sins because they killed their relatives in Mahabharta. Badrinath dham is located at the elevation of 31,33 meter above sea level. This temple was established by Adi Guru Shanklaracharya. It is believed that God Vishnu sat here for the meditation. The main mandir/ Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna Mata. Yamunotri Dham is located at the elevation of 3,293 metres (10,804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas Uttarkashi district in the Garhwal Division of Uttarakhand, India. Every year thousands of pilgrims and tourists use to come here for the blessing of Yamuna mata. Here is hot water stream also where devotees use to cook the rice as a Prasaad of Yamuna Mata . Main idol of this temple is made of black Marble. It is believed that this temple was built by Maharaja Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. Gomukh is also referred as Gaumukh or Gomukhi which literally means Mouth of a Cow. Gomukh is the end of Gangotri Glacier and it is one of the prestigious source of the Ganges River. The height of Gomukh is approximately 13,200 foot form Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the four site pilgrimage in India’s Chhota Char Dham .The temple of Yamuna was constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal and it is on the left bank of the Yamuna. The temple of Yamuna, on the left bank of the Yamuna, was constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. The deity is made of black marble. The Yamuna, like the Ganges, has been elevated to the status of a divine mother for the Hindus and has been held responsible for nurturing and developing the Indian civilization.
